# Live

See visitors from the last 30 minutes, the pages and sources they came from, and payments as they arrive.

The Live page shows what is happening on your site right now. It refreshes every 5 seconds while it is open and reads raw events, so it does not wait for the hourly rollups that power the other reports.

## What Live shows

| Element | Covers |
|---|---|
| Visitors | Unique visitors in the last 30 minutes |
| Pages | Top paths by pageviews in the last 30 minutes |
| Sources | Top referring domains or `utm_source` values in the last 30 minutes; visits with neither show as `direct` |
| Countries | Visitors by country in the last 30 minutes |
| Globe: visitors | Up to 50 pageviews from the last 5 minutes, with country, region, channel and path |
| Globe: payments | Up to 20 payments from the last 30 minutes, with amount in USD, plan, channel and country |

The recent pageviews carry no visitor, session or user id, so nothing on the Live page identifies a person.

## Using it to check an install

Live is the quickest way to confirm the script works: open your site in another tab and your visit appears within a few seconds. The script batches events for up to one second before sending. See [Verify your installation](/docs/install/verify).

> [!NOTE]
> Nothing is sent from `localhost` unless the script tag has `data-dev="true"`, and visits from automated browsers are dropped. If you test locally and see nothing, that is why.
